Calcium Caseinate BOOMERS 100% CALCIUM CASEINATE CONTAINS ONLY CALCIUM CASEINATE. IT CONTAINS NO SWEETENERS, NO FLAVOURING, NO COLOURING, NO PRESERVATIVES AND NO NON-DAIRY PROTEIN FILLERS. Boomers 100% Calcium Caseinate is produced entirely in New Zealand from Grass-fed dairy herds grazing on pastures that are managed without herbicides or pesticides. Unlike whey, calcium caseinate is derived from whole milk. It has naturally-occurring branched chain amino acids (BCAAs), low carbohydrate and fat, lactose (0.3%) and milk fat (1.1%). The major value of calcium caseinate is that it slows down amino acid absorption. Heavy resistance exercise has both an anabolic (muscle building) and a catabolic (muscle breakdown) effect on your body. Maximum muscle gains from exercise are achieved by enhancing the anabolic effect and reducing the catabolic effect. BEFORE WORKOUTS whey protein shakes alone will significantly enhance the anabolic effect of heavy exercise. AFTER WORKOUTS adding caseinate to a whey protein shake significantly decreases the catabolic effect of heavy exercise. Accordingly, ten grams (one heaped tablespoon) should be added to a whey protein shake and taken AFTER WORKOUTS.
